A “Superfood” Oil You Probably Never Heard Of…

If you are familiar with Clean Cuisine, you know we always say it is best to get the majority of your fats from their raw, totally unprocessed, “whole food” form (such as flaxseeds, raw nuts, avocados, etc.) because when a food is processed into oil certain nutrients are inevitably lost, including fiber, phytonutrients, antioxidants, etc. And of course some oils are processed so heavily that the end result is a totally empty calorie food (corn oil comes to mind.) However, some “whole foods”, such as olives, can be processed into oil in a way that allows for a high percentage of nutrients to remain intact.

We recently discovered a “superfood” oil that has undergone very minimal processing and is absolutely bursting with nutrition. And yet, it’s an oil most people have never even heard of! A rich source of ten different potent anti-aging antioxidant carotenoids (including lycopene found in tomatoes and beta-carotene found in carrots), vitamin E in the form of hard-to-come by mixed tocopherols and tocotrienols, heart-healthy phytosterols, CoQ10 and health-boosting phytonutrients, we are amazed at the nutritional composition of this relatively unknown “superfood” oil.

And! Its rich, buttery flavor offers tremendous culinary range. Plus it can safely withstand higher heat temperatures than olive oil. This is an oil you will definitely want to add to your superfood kitchen.
